When You Arrive…

Ziplining MA, Adventure Park at Heritage

BEFORE coming to the park:

  • Be sure to make your reservation.  In 2016, The Adventure Park at Heritage Museums & Gardens will be a reservation-only park.  Make your individual reservations using the RESERVE TICKETS tab at the top of the page. Walk-ins are not encouraged as we can serve a walk-in customer ONLY IF there is availability.
  • Every climber must have a waiver on file.  An adult/guardian must sign a waiver for climbers under the age of 18. You may read and complete your waiver online using the link provided in your reservation confirmation email.  Please complete all waivers before your visit! Also, if you’ve climbed already this year, you do not need to complete another waiver each time you visit.  The only exception to this rule is if you’ve turned 18 during this calendar year; if that’s the case, you will need to complete a new waiver and sign it yourself.

Get ready for your Heritage adventure today!

If this is your first time climbing with us–WELCOME!  Here is a quick rundown of what to expect when you arrive:

  • The first step is making sure you have a complete waiver. There are electronic waivers available at the park, or online in advance; just use the link provided in your reservation confirmation email.  If you are bringing a group or birthday party with climbers under the age of 18, please have their parents sign the waiver for that child in advance.  Completing waivers in advance really expedites your group’s check-in process.
  • Once you’ve got all the waivers completed, you’ll head over to the cashier and check-in if you have a reservation or group booking.
  • A time will be stamped on your ticket. That time is the last time you will be able to begin a new trail (similar to a ski-lift pass). Regular tickets are for a two-hour climbing session, plus an additional 30 minutes for the orientation period; so if you purchase your ticket at 9:00am, the time-stamp will read 11:30am.
  • Once you’ve gotten your ticket, you’ll be getting a climbing harness next. On the harness will be all the equipment you’ll need to climb!
  • From there, a Park Monitor will greet you and then take you out to the harnessing area, where a staff member will help you put on your harness, and make sure it is fitted properly.
  • Then, you’re off to the safety briefing, where a staff member will lead you through an instructional briefing and demonstration of the climbing equipment and our policies & procedures. The safety briefing is followed by a brief practice stage, where you will have the chance to practice with the clips and trolley until you feel comfortable. EVERYONE must go through the safety briefing and practice area, even if you’ve climbed here before.
  • Now you’re ready! You’ll head up to the starting platform–and start your Heritage adventure!

If you’ve been here already this season…WELCOME BACK! Here what’s new:

  • Be sure to make your reservation.  In 2016, The Adventure Park at Heritage Museums & Gardens will be a reservation-only park.  Make your individual reservations using the RESERVE TICKETS tab at the top of the page. Walk-ins are not encouraged as we can serve a walk-in customer ONLY IF there is availability.
  • If you completed an electronic waiver already this year, no worries, we can look you up.  It’s good for the whole season.  The only exception to this rule is if you turned 18 during the calendar year; if so, then please complete a new waiver and sign.
  • Safety Briefing Bypass: Once you have climbed with us at least 3 times this season, you will be eligible to complete the safety briefing bypass program, which takes about 1/2 hour. Once you’ve demonstrated the necessary skills, you will be given a bypass card to let you skip the briefing during any future visits.  Please call the office at 508-866-0199 to schedule a time for your Safety Briefing Bypass meeting.
